Research interest
My research program aims mainly at evaluating placental development during pregnancy. Many pregnancy complications such as pre-eclampsia and uterine growth delay could be associated to an improper placentation at the very beginning of the pregnancy. Our program aims to understand the evolution of the placenta during pregnancy, from the first weeks of development to delivery and the mechanisms that could explain its abnormal development. Evaluation of placenta is carried out using 3D echography and Power Doppler, state-of-the-art technologies still under development.
