CRDSI “PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE” SCHOLARSHIPS - 2026
The CRDSI is pleased to announce the “Pursuit of Excellence 2026” scholarships, each valued at $2,000, intended for graduate students enrolled in Master’s and PhD programs within the CRDSI.
The primary objective of this scholarship is to help students strengthen their applications for provincial and federal funding competitions. It also aims to support international students who are not eligible for these competitions. This scholarship is specifically designed to be awarded early in the academic trajectory and to provide an opportunity for students with a less extensive academic record (transcripts and publications) to remain competitive. These elements are incorporated into the evaluation and eligibility criteria.
Application procedure: Applicants must complete the application form and include their transcript in a single PDF document, and submit it by email before 11:59 p.m. on May 31, 2026, to the following address: comitedesboursescrdsi@gmail.com.

MÉLANIE-HAMEL AND J.J. GIRARD SCHOLARSHIP – 2026
The CRDSI and the Mélanie-Hamel Foundation are offering one scholarship valued at $5,000 for CRDSI students enrolled in a PhD program at Université Laval. The Mélanie-Hamel and J.J. Girard Scholarship is a merit-based award aimed at recognizing the excellence of candidates' academic records.
The evaluation criteria are similar to those used by major funding agencies such as NSERC, CIHR, FRQ, with an added emphasis on the values upheld by the CRDSI. These scholarships are exclusively available to doctoral students enrolled at Université Laval, with no restrictions regarding the stage of their academic progress. Students nearing the end of their program are therefore welcome to apply.
